Remind yourself to keep moving

Ashwaubenon PB Tavie Folk shares a tip that helps her tackle the workday:

My tip is definitely an energy-booster, and it helps me focus better. I have a notification on my Outlook calendar set for 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. every day. When the notification pops up, and if I’m not with a customer, I immediately stand up and make a lap around the building. It helps me get away from a stressful, busy environment and clear my head. When I get back to my office, I’m more energized and ready to take on what’s in front of me. Not only is it great for my mind-set, it’s also great for my body. It’s easy to get in the habit of sitting all day long when you have a desk job, and oftentimes that makes you more tired and less alert. So I make it a point to move around.
