North Shore Bank sponsored the National Night Out celebration in Franklin on Aug. 7 at the town’s public library. The annual event is meant to reduce crime, prevent drug use and encourage neighborhood spirit.
Franklin’s event featured police, firefighters and other safety workers who showed off their vehicles in the library parking lot and talked to attendees about keeping the community safe. Proceeds from food and beverage sales went to area food pantries, and local businesses set up booths to promote their services and give away small gifts.
Our booth gave kids the chance to decorate coin banks; adults could sign up for the chance to win prizes. Seymour Savings was also on hand to greet visitors and pose for photos. Employees who helped at the event were Franklin CSR Amber Liermann, Southridge BCSM Vince Muntner, Franklin SB Becky Ninneman, BOC Myra Rodriguez and BCSM Niki Sargent.
Thank you for inviting me to a very fun event!!
One of the reasons I love working for NSB is the mindset that “We are our community”. The sponsorship of events like National Night Out in Franklin only adds to our presence in the community. Go, North Shore!
