West Allis BOSM Debra Parajecki has some wise words for improving your productivity:
I have always lived by the rule of “If I am not using it, keep it out of sight.” I keep a lot of things — like a stapler, tape, paper clips, Post-It notes, a letter opener, extra pens, paper and a calculator — in a drawer nearby. I only keep what I am using at my station.
Debra adds:
I was told by a former boss to “GLOAT” whenever you are at work: Greet the customer. Look them in the eye. Offer something. Ask if there is anything else you can do for the customer. And Thank your customer by name.
And Commercial Loan Specialist Mary Fleischman suggests this:
I keep a box of Crystal Light Energy Drink packets at my desk. When my energy is lagging, I add one to my water, and it is just enough to keep me going. It contains B vitamins and some caffeine for the energy boost.
