Our Regency branch in Racine held a Family Fun Day on Aug. 17. We provided a picnic lunch of hot dogs and chips for attendees, who got to meet members of the Mount Pleasant Police Department and South Shore Fire Department. The firefighters also brought along a fire truck and handed out fire helmets to kids. The Chick-fil-A cow showed up and let guests spin the wheel to win prizes, and gave out samples of the restaurant’s new chocolate chunk cookies.

The event also featured the Racine Zoo’s Animal and Artifact Booth, which gave guests the chance to meet critters in person, including a Madagascar hissing cockroach, an emperor scorpion, snakes and a desert tortoise.

According to Branch Manager Natalia Jackson, 134 people came out for Family Fun Day. Employees who helped out included Natalia, CSR Julie Davies, PB Andrew Morafcik, CSR Vanessa Ramos, BOSM Marna Thillemann and CSR Stephanie Vance.

The Regency branch also sponsored La Fiesta Mexicana on Aug. 11 and 12 at Festival Park in Racine. Kids who visited our area there could color coin banks and play our Scoop and Save game, and Seymour Savings donned a sombrero especially for the occasion.
