A mouthwatering Christmas Eve menu

Yum — Brookfield Square Branch Manager Margie Brusa and her family have a highly delicious Christmas Eve to look forward to each year:

We have a fun and delicious tradition that derives from our Italian heritage. On Christmas Eve, our menu is based on fish, so we order a variety: eel, squid, shrimp, octopus, whiting, mussels, clams and perch, or whatever else is interesting, new and available. We start around 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 24, and family members join us periodically throughout the day to help with the food. Their roles can be as simple as preparing condiments or as technical as butterflying and deveining the shrimp. My specialty is stuffing squid!

Dinner begins at 7 p.m. with appetizers and goes on until about 10 p.m., when we conclude with the traditional fruit, nuts and panettone.

Care to join us? We ALWAYS have leftovers!
