Our Bayshore branch sponsored the brand-new Youth Award at Bayshore Town Center’s seventh annual Chalk Art Festival on Aug. 17 and 18.

During the festival, Bayshore’s streets are covered with gorgeous chalk art. Visitors could walk among the artists at work and then vote for winners in several categories: Best in Show; Most Likely to be Hung in a Museum; People’s Choice 1, 2 and 3; Best Animal; Best Use of Color; and the new Youth Award.

North Shore Bank sponsored the new award, which 14-year-old Jessica Helminiak won. Here’s the stunning picture she put together:

Jessica won $200 in cash and a certificate.

Teller Joy Brown-Holland, Teller Supervisor Sakhone Phakphoom, Personal Banker Chris Tolbert and Teller Beth Wianecki helped at the festival, along with Branch Manager Gloria Rosenberg.

“It was really an exciting event,” Gloria says. “It was extremely well attended — people come from all over. I talked to people from out of state, and they were having a great time.”
