Here’s an update on our “Together, Achieving More” referral program.

Product Analyst DJ Bluma, Senior Consumer Loan Specialist Jessica Kohn and Credit Sales Rep Jeannie Schwenkner each referred a checking account in July and not only earned 3,000 debit reward card points, but also received a check for $10 as contributors to the CEO Checking Challenge and a hearty congratulations from Mr. McKenna.

Other employees who earned reward points for July referrals were: Loan Servicing Manager Joe Fretschel; Jeannie and Credit Sales Rep Georgia Phillips, both from Loan Administration; and Secondary Market Manager Roberta Woodard. Collectively, they earned 9,600 points. Year to date, the top referrers are Jessica, Commercial Loan Specialist Heidi Becker, Jeannie and DJ.

As Jeannie knows, asking the right questions can lead to referral opportunities. While recently talking with a customer about a home equity line of credit, she learned that he owned his own business and had business accounts with another lender. By spending some time with him, Jeannie was able to refer the business customer to North Shore Bank for his business needs, in addition to servicing his personal needs. As she put it: “It is important to listen to your customer, because you can help them with other services.”
