Central Region scores high with internal customers
By District Manager Cristen Baumann
The Central Region invited our internal customers to rate their satisfaction with the level of service they received from our branches. The survey asked a series of questions related to our SOAR service standards and overall satisfaction rating. The majority of positive feedback was about being helpful and friendly, teamwork, and doing an excellent job with greetings and problem resolution. Results show a great deal of care for internal customers. Read more about the survey results.
Around the Bank
^ Waukesa Foam Fest. Customer Support Center employees came out for the Foam Fest 5K in Waukesha on June 28 to raise funds for the A Child’s Hope Foundation, to provide housing and basic necessities to orphaned children in developing countries — and they did it in some “wonder”-ful costumes. Runners were Customer Care Specialist Kattia Abad, Customer Assistance Specialist Elena Altoro-Rodriguez, Customer Care Rep Bonnie Gonzalez, Debit Card Risk Specialist Bertha Huerta, Customer Care Rep Myra Rodriguez, and Senior Checking Services Rep Carianne Weaver. “We wanted to participate in a run to get us motivated into being more active and wanted it to be fun at the same time,” Myra says. “So when one of us came upon the ad on Facebook, we decided to make the jump. There was a big water slide [at the event, too], so why not, right? We decided it would be even more fun to dress up and decided on a ‘Wonder Woman’ theme. The course was full of challenging obstacles, but we pushed each other and made sure we crossed the finish line together.” Here’s a closer-up pic of the competitors in their costumes.
< Kenosha Fourth fest. North Shore Bank sponsored the “Let Freedom Ring” stage at the City of Kenosha’s Fourth of July festivities. We had a booth there, too, and employees and family members showed up to help out, including Senior Commercial Loan Servicing Analyst Loretta Bondi and son Stephan; Kenosha Festival Foods Teller Kay Christensen; and Kenosha Main Branch Manager Julie Goebel, along with daughter Morgan and husband Mike.
> Kenosha parade. Employees showed up to walk, drive, and promote North Shore Bank at the Walgreens Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade on June 29. We were represented by Kenosha Festival Foods PB Andrea Burgess and Kenosha Central PB Debbie Oatsvall.
< CCOC book drive. The Corporate Community Outreach Committee thanks everyone who participated in the ice cream social and book drive on June 27 in support of Next Door’s Books for Kids. The nonprofit runs a giving library for children and provides books to schools and other organizations in Milwaukee that support kids. The event raised $404 and brought in 372 books. Raffle winners were Commerical Loan Servicing Team Leader Cheryl Lang, Cash Flow Coordinator Millie Milkovic, Mailroom Assistant Colleen Moore, and Brookfield Square Teller Krista Stone.
> West Allis arboriculture. West Allis Teller Cristin Erdmann sends word of the branch’s upcoming checking promotion preparations: They’re putting out money trees. “The trees are going to serve as attention getters and conversation starters to help get people to open up an account during the promotion,” Cristin says. “We plan to say either ‘Money doesn’t grow on trees; speak to our banker about opening up a North Shore Bank account’ or ‘Don’t just leave your money hanging! Open up a NSB checking account today!’ Copyrights owned by branch 71.” Nice work, all!

Shorelines Shout-Outs!
As proven in our Customer Pulse Surveys, you are the heartbeat of the bank’s success. Here’s a sampling of what customers have to say about banking with us.
“I go because of the friendly service and the relationship I’ve developed with Mr. Kelly Kading, whom I met first at the Midway location. Then he was transferred to the Northland bank, which is a lot farther away, but he is a fine young man and I enjoy working and kidding around with him.”
“The people at the New Berlin branch are OUTSTANDING! They always welcome me in with a smile and a friendly hello. They all know me and my dad (we both have accounts there). They are always willing to accommodate us, no matter the request. They are some of the best people on your front line. I have banked at other places, and nothing compares to the people at my North Shore Bank.”
North Shore Shape Up> 2014 Weight Loss Challenge winner. Sussex Teller Kelly Jo Gabrus got a visit from Wellness Coordinator Lynn Jack, who stopped by the branch to present Kelly Jo with her prize, a six-month membership to the YMCA. Once again, nice work, Kelly Jo!
