Around the Bank

Oct/Nov promotion results: We generated 620 credit card applications that resulted in 338 new approved cards for our customers in our two-month promotion during October and November, and a number of employees won prizes in Élan’s sweepstakes contest.

Cupcakes for a cause: Our Union Grove branch hosted a cupcake sale on Feb 13 to help community member Rachel Thompson, who has Lyme disease, and to raise awareness about the disease. Longtime family friend Sabrina and Rachel’s sister Taylor (above) baked more than 800 cupcakes for the sale. “The cupcakes were beautiful and delicious,” said Branch Manager Amy Sweet, “so they did a really good job.” This was the second year the branch has hosted the sale.

Kudos

Regional Account Manager Jim Halbman recently received emphatic praise from a client. “FYI he is hands down the BEST rep I have ever had. He is always on the ball and I feel like if I need help the support is always there and that’s really important. Thank you again,” the client told SVP Mike Kellman in an email. Nice going, Jim!

Service Anniversaries

You can congratulate your coworkers on their anniversaries in the comments.

“Wow! Where did the time go?” asks Senior Commercial Loan Servicing Analyst Loretta Bondi, who marks 10 years this week, at Bank of Kenosha and then at North Shore Bank after May 2013. “It’s been awesome — here’s to at least another 10. My favorite part of the job has been working with such great people and the relationships that have been built.”

Celebrations

New addition: Customer Assistance Representative Krista Strom had her baby Alexander last week. He was 9 pounds, 10 ounces, and 21 inches long. Congratulations, Krista!

A lovely surprise: Regency’s Angelia Sorensen got a sweet Valentine’s Day surprise from her girlfriend, Shealia, who had a choir hand-deliver a rose and then serenade the teller when the branch opened on Saturday. “I actually woke up with a cold that morning, so I was miserable,” Angelia said. “Then I was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’” The singers were from William Horlick High School’s choir, which Angelia used to sing with. “It was a sweet and romantic event for someone who is a wonderful person and a hard worker,” said Branch Manager Jenny Meyer.

North Shore Shape Up

Plus: The 20th member who joins will get a FREE MEMBERSHIP! Nancy Hanson has the scoop.
