Sheri Livermore marks 20 years of change at NSB
“There was no email,” says Office Services Specialist Sheri Livermore, recalling when she started at North Shore Bank two decades ago, “and we had to type up and photocopy memos, promotions, etc., write names on each document of the person who should receive that particular item, put them in order by department and floor, and finally walk around the building, placing one on each person’s desk. I used to know who everyone was and where they sat.” Find out what Sheri is up to these days and congratulate her in the comments!
Around the Bank
Racine Zoo Egg-Stravaganza: Kenosha Central Branch Manager Robin Callis and Kenosha Festival Foods Personal Banker Sarah Warren (above) helped out at the zoo’s annual springtime event, with assistance from Sarah’s fiancé, Evan, and Regency Branch Manager Jenny Meyer. About 500 children showed up with their families for the event, to do crafts, see the Easter Bunny, and visit the zoo animals. North Shore Bank passed out goodie bags and offered craft supplies: This year, kids could make butterflies from clothespins, with candy-filled bags for the wings. Jenny’s son Quinn helped the Easter Bunny pass out bags.
Shredding Days scheduled: The bank has scheduled our ninth annual free Community Shredding Days for members of the public who want to dispose of personal documents securely. People in the Milwaukee and Racine communities can visit any area branch on May 2 between 9 and 11am; those with large amounts of documents are asked to come to Brookfield Square, Kenosha Main, Regency in Racine, Shorewood, or Southridge, where special shredding trucks will be on site. In the north region, people can visit area branches on May 9 from 9 to 11am and can bring large amounts of documents to Appleton Northland and Ashwaubenon.
UPAF Ride reminder: North Shore Bank will enter a team in this year’s United Performing Arts Fund Ride for the Arts, on May 31. You can also volunteer at the event. Sign up by Apr 12 and the bank will cover your registration fee, plus an immediate family member’s. For more information, download the flyer. To raise funds, there will be a pancake breakfast on Apr 20 at Corporate, and a carnival and chili cook-off on Apr 22.
Call for recipes: Do you have a favorite recipe? Shorelines wants to hear about it, whether it’s your best potluck item, a killer dessert, or a holiday specialty. Email us at shorelines@northshorebank.com.

Department of the Week
Mortgage and Consumer Underwriting: Our Department of the Week is Mortgage and Consumer Underwriting, led by VP Jim Saladin. As Jim explains, it’s this department’s job to ensure that the bank makes smart, careful decisions about who qualifies for a loan. “After all,” he notes, “no one wants to see their money wasted.”
North Shore Shape Up
Allergy season is here: That’s not news to you, if you suffer from springtime allergies. These tips from UW Health may help you breathe a little easier:
- Don’t wait until your symptoms are bad to call your allergist.
- Keep your windows closed and if possible, use air-conditioning, which cleans, cools, and dries the air.
- Try to stay indoors when the pollen or mold levels are reported to be high. (The UW-Madison pollen counting station is one of three in Wisconsin that reports to the National Allergy Bureau.)
- Wear a pollen mask if you can’t avoid a long period of exposure (such as when mowing the lawn or working in the yard), and then shower or change clothes immediately afterward.
- Avoid hanging sheets or clothes outside to dry.
- Consider taking a vacation during the height of the pollen season to a more pollen-free area, such as the beach or the sea.
- When traveling by car, keep your windows closed.
- Use a Neti Pot for nasal irrigation.
