35 years at North Shore Bank: Lauri Lunde
“Well, I was either going to be a nurse, or maybe work in banking,” remembers District Manager Lauri Lunde. She ended up interviewing at what used to be Southeastern Savings because her boyfriend’s mother — now her mother-in-law — worked there. At that job, Lauri learned that, at its heart, banking is about helping people. To read about how she did more than four home loans for one family, the people she’s helped, and why she didn’t initially appreciate her first mentor, please read on.
Around the Bank
Muskego branch kickoff: “The bank’s new theme this year is ‘The Art of Building Relationships.’ So we had our branch kickoff meeting on Oct 13 at an art studio,” writes Branch Manager Katie Presser. “After the meeting, we all participated in a painting class. Here are our masterpieces!” Nice work, everyone!
New Berlin golf outing: North Shore Bank sponsored a hole at the first annual New Berlin Swim Community Group Golf Outing to benefit the area’s two swimming pools. “Although it was overcast, the clouds didn’t prevent the golfers from enjoying themselves and having a good time,” a grateful participant wrote in a thank-you note to Branch Manager Sara Swosinski. “We want to thank you for helping to plant the seeds which will bear fruit for many years to come.”
Service Anniversaries
These employees are celebrating 10 years with the bank this month! You can congratulate them in the comments.
Yvette Burdette’s banking career began in 1996 at Tri City National Bank and continued at American Credit Union. In 2005, she was offered a job as Personal Banker at our Jackson Park branch. “I really enjoyed working there and developed wonderful relationships with my coworkers and customers,” she remembers. “It was a hard decision to leave the branch, but I was ready for a change. In April 2013, I took a position as a Credit Loan Specialist at the Corporate office and feel like that was the best move I could have made.” When she started at North Shore Bank, she had two sons at home. “Fast-forward 10 years and I have two young men living out on there own and making a life for themselves. In 2011, I became a grandmother to a beautiful little girl, Giselle. She has filled my life with so much joy, it’s indescribable! She is my world, and I hope time slows down so that I can cherish every moment with her and my ‘boys.’”

Kudos
“I usually go inside because of the personal service with a genuine, friendly conversation,” writes an Oak Creek customer. “I try to get in Marie Hamilton’s line because I enjoy her personality! Never seen her without a smile on her face. She always does the little extras that make my visit nice.”
“Erma was amazing,” writes a Regency customer who worked with Universal Banker Ermalinda Schroeder to close and transfer an account. “She was so patient with me the entire time. She loves her job, she is great with people — remembers our names, is personable, will take the extra time and steps to meet our needs.”
