Your BCP Committee: Flash drives can be essential in emergencies
If your home were destroyed in a fire or similar disaster, how easily could you retrieve important documents — such as insurance papers, your driver’s license, passports, and wills? A very simple and inexpensive solution is to scan these documents and store them on a flash drive. Pat Ingelse of the Business Continuity Program Committee will tell you more about how this little tip can make a big difference!

North Shore Shape Up
Sugar linked to breast cancer: New research suggests that sugar — whether it’s high-fructose corn syrup, evaporated cane juice, fructose, dextrose, sucrose, glucose, maltodextrin, concentrated fruit juice, honey, or agave nectar — may increase not only your chance of contracting breast cancer, but also how aggressive the cancer is. So watch those labels! Added sugar is in all sorts of processed foods.
Do you have a winning recipe? The North Shore Bank Healthy Cooking Contest is running through March 17. You’re all invited to prepare your tastiest healthy recipe for your coworkers, and then your branch or department will vote for their favorite. Winning recipes will be submitted for a bankwide Healthy Cook-Off cookbook. Complete rules here. Bon appétit!
