North Shore Bank’s 10th annual Community Shredding Day will take place May 7 from 9 to 11am. We’ll accept documents for shredding at all of our branches, and some offices will have shredding trucks on site to destroy larger amounts of materials.

Shredding Day promotes the importance of protecting one’s identity and gives the public a chance to properly dispose of materials that contain personal information. North Shore Bank sponsors the event and provides tips on identity protection.

Shredding trucks will be at the following locations:

  • Appleton Northland
  • Ashwaubenon
  • Brookfield Square
  • East office in Shorewood
  • Howard-Suamico
  • Kenosha Main
  • Racine Regency
  • Southridge in Greendale

If you’d like to help at an office with a truck, we would greatly appreciate it. Ideally, the time commitment is 8:30 to 11:30am. We will be assisting people as they unload items. Please email Kate Knox at kknox@northshorebank.com by Monday, May 2, to let her know when and where you would like to help.

Feel free to bring along a friend or family member to help, too. Anyone who helps will receive a T-shirt — let Kate know what size you need. Because you are representing the bank, you will be paid your regular wage and will need to make arrangements with your supervisor for an approval.

Please remember that the bank’s policy on appearance applies, with the exception of jeans. You can wear jeans at the event as long as they are not tattered. We will be set up outside, so please dress for the weather.
