Last week, we posted a job opening for a sales and marketing analyst, a position some people were not familiar with. Below are some answers about what a sales analyst is and what a sales analyst does.
We encourage anyone with related skills and a desire to work in a sales/marketing support role to apply for this position. (Although the internal posting has expired, we will still accept internal applicants.) Please reach out to marketing VP Kevin Wilderman or branch sales and admin VP Craig Witz with any questions you may have.
What is a sales analyst?
A sales analyst works with data — from a number of different sources — to build reports and provide meaningful, actionable information on customer relationships, sales activities, sales results, customer sentiments, and profitability.
If you like solving puzzles, finding answers, analyzing information, or building easy-to-read reports, you will find this role to be engaging and energizing.
What are some key tasks this position will perform?
The sales analyst will use various data sources from the bank to assemble information and build reports. For example, you may use R1 reporting to compile results in Value Pack, Payment Protection, incentive, and other sales activities. You may use iVue to build reports on various account types and customer usage. You may assemble information into reporting used by Marketing and Branch Administration as they monitor and guide our activities.
What background are we looking for?
We are looking for three years’ related experience, and experience in the financial industry. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is a must. For all of the details, see the job posting.
Who are the key partners for this role?
This position reports to Nate Dekker in our Marketing Department, and so works closely with both Marketing (Kevin, Karen DeGarmo, and others) and Branch Administration (Sue Doyle, Craig, and the rest of the team).
So, is this Michael Ebbensgard’s role?
Yes and no. This position is replacing Michael, but the duties are a little different. This role focuses on the reporting aspects that Michael used to do, along with additional data analytics.
