Business bankers discuss importance of referrals
As a bank, we’re always stronger when we work together. Our business banking team has a long history of referring their clients to colleagues at North Shore Bank who can help with personal banking needs.

“We’ve all seen the benefit of having clients who have multiple products with the bank,” said vice president and mortgage production manager Chris Boland. “If a customer has more than one relationship with us, they’re more apt to come here first when they need something.”

Last month, the numbers came in showing which business partners made the most referrals to other areas of the bank. See who business banking’s top referrers were, and hear why making referrals is so important to them — and how to do it well!

North Shore Shape Up: Natural heartburn remedies
Constant heartburn getting you down? Harvard Medical School notes some herbal remedies worth trying before you start popping antacids:

  • Chamomile tea can help, though should be avoided if you’re allergic to ragweed.
  • People have been using ginger to alleviate heartburn and other gastrointestinal distress for centuries.
  • Research suggests that licorice is good for neutralizing heartburn. You can take DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice) in pill or liquid form.

If you’re experiencing ongoing heartburn and these remedies don’t offer any relief, talk to your physician about medications that are safe to use over the long term. And avoid or limit foods and beverages that are highly acidic (like coffee) until the problem is under control. •••

Upcoming Events

Correction
A photo caption in a post last week incorrectly identified East personal banker Kenya Owens as a former bank employee. Kenya is still employed by North Shore Bank. We are very sorry about the mistake.
