North Shore Bank gets involved in numerous community events

Sue Doyle, senior vice president, retail banking, wanted to share this update she sent to her team, highlighting the many community activities our branches are sponsoring, holding, or taking part in this holiday season. She writes: “Thank you to all individuals participating in community events this holiday season. Your generosity brings our ‘SOAR Together’ principles to life, and I greatly appreciate your time and commitment.”

  • Santa float, Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue. North Shore Bank matched donations up to $1,000 to help the Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue/Local 275 raise funds to replace the sound system on this holiday icon, which got going in 1952. Firefighters and the Santa float were at Menasha last weekend to promote fundraising efforts.
  • Appleton Christmas Parade. Northland participated in the annual parade. This year’s float was awesome.
  • Operation: Burlington Cares food drive. The Burlington office is a collection point for Love, Inc.
  • Food drive for Family Sharing of Ozaukee County. The Grafton branch is a collection point for Family Sharing.
  • MACC Fund Candy Cane Lane 2017 Candy Cane Lane in West Allis is lit up through December 26. Mascot Night, featuring an appearance by Seymour Savings, is tomorrow, Friday, December 8. The event is spearheaded by our Southwest branch, with collection points supported by New Berlin, West Allis, Southridge, Jackson Park, and Oak Creek. The bank matches up to $1,000.
  • Toys for Tots donation drive. Sturgeon Bay, Menasha, Sister Bay, Northland, and Howard are collecting toys in the northeast. Burlington, Union Grove, Kenosha Central, Kenosha Main, and Forest Home are collecting toys in southeast Wisconsin.
  • Vande Walle’s candy bar sales to benefit the Cerebral Palsy Center. All North region branches are selling candy bars in support of the Annual Cerebral Palsy Telethon in 2018.
  • Southridge/Greendale Chili Cook-off. Supports Shih Tzu and Friends Rescue.
  • 36th Annual Burlington Christmas Parade. The parade took place December 1. The Burlington branch was a parade and “Santa Chalet” sponsor.
  • Jackson Park tree lighting. The tree lighting took place December 1. For more than 20 years, North Shore Bank has sponsored this event just outside our office. This year, we hosted the public in our new community room.
  • Family Free Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo. This month’s Family Free Day took place last weekend. North Shore sponsors Family Free Days several times a year. A great weather forecast equated to great attendance.
