Employees’ dogs help promote NSB at well-attended Wagfest

Wagfest attendees brought their canine companions by the North Shore Bank booth.

Elmbrook Humane Society’s 11th annual Wagfest fundraiser attracted around 5,000 humans — and a bunch of pups — to Mitchell Park in Brookfield on September 8. North Shore Bank was a sponsor of the event.

Community mortgage loan originator Amanda Watts brought her Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix rescue, Bonnie, out for the day. “She had fun walking around seeing all the vendors, smelling all the wonderful items they were selling or giving away,” Amanda says. “She had plenty of free dog treats, which she gobbled up. And what I thought was the cutest was that they had martinis for the dogs. I didn’t indulge in buying one for Bonnie, but the other dogs seemed to enjoy them.” Amanda also got a kick out of seeing dogs paint with their paws on canvas.

Damen the Husky accompanied his owner, community mortgage loan originator Diana Castillo, to Wagfest too. “He was wearing his North Shore Bank shirt and helped us greet all of the dogs and their owners,” Diana says. “He did a wonderful job staying by our tent, and as people would spin the wheel for our booth game, he would sniff and play with the dogs that visited. We all had a great time and enjoyed seeing the many dogs and their owners come to our booth.”

Other employees who helped out at Wagfest include community mortgage loan originator Nancy Arciga, district manager Cristen Baumann, Brookfield Square branch manager Maria Baumer, deposit services manager Natalie Canadeo, and debit risk specialist Peggy Theisen.
