It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.
Mortgage loan originator Cheryl Irving is from Escanaba, Michigan, and previously worked as a mortgage loan officer, as well. Cheryl is a Kenny Chesney superfan who has seen the country-music star live around 20 times. “His songs are honest and relatable, and he’s a down-to-earth celebrity who hasn’t changed with success,” she says. “My favorite show was a few years ago at Miller Park — my daughter and I had ‘sandbar’ tickets directly in front of the stage.”
Application systems manager Kalim Khan is from Franklin and was previously vice president of development at Newtek Merchant Services. Kalim likes traveling with his family and loves the outdoors. “In 2016, our whole family went to Dubai on a desert safari,” he says. They skied on giant sand dunes — “Everyone can do it, as if you fall, the soft sand is there to catch you” — and went on a camel trek. “It’s a more personal way to experience the environment — you get a glimpse of the desert vegetation and the strange insects on the sands,” Kalim says.
Jackson Park teller supervisor Josephina Reyes was born and raised in Milwaukee. She was a teller supervisor at our El Rey branch from 2011 to 2017 and then worked at a staffing agency as a recruiter for a few months. “I learned that my passion is banking and customer service, and I decided to come back,” she says. Josephina likes making slime with her daughter and watching Netflix documentaries, but hates snow. “I can deal with the cold weather, though,” she says.
