Employees’ children, grandchildren, and other young family members trick-or-treated at Corporate on October 26.
“My kids LOVED it!” said branch operations support supervisor Beth Wianecki, pictured above with kids Addie, 4, and Elora, 1½, and husband Ben. “They were running from one area to another. They even bombarded Roger Arnesen in IS when we accidentally stopped on the 3rd Floor! He was a good sport and shared some candy with them, even though the 3rd Floor was not a trick-or-treat location. I couldn’t believe how many treats and toys they ended up coming home with. Everyone did such a great job putting the event together!”
The Corporate Community Outreach Committee organized the fun, which started in the Business Banking foyer on the 1st Floor, where the costumed kids each received a bag for treats and a passport map that led them to two stops on the 5th Floor, one on the 4th, a stop on the 2nd Floor, and then to the lower level, where they could do a craft project and enjoy a snack.
“He loved it,” said administrative coordinator–alternative investments Elizabeth Castillo of her son Elias, 16 months, pictured above with her. “It was his first time actually trick-or-treating, and even though he didn’t quite understand the concept, he’d recently learned what candy is and that he loves it.”
“I remember seeing all the little kids from last year and thinking, I can’t wait until I can take my baby trick-or-treating,” said video teller Darlynee Vang, pictured above with daughter Natalie, 18 months, and husband Victor. “So even though she can’t eat that much candy yet, this year I decided to sign her up and bring her in. I think everything turned out really nice — the only hassle was taking care of Natalie, as she wanted to grab all the candies she could get. The part she enjoyed the most was to finally sit down and enjoy her apple juice and little snack downstairs.”
“We thought it was great!” said AVP credit analyst Amy Schoen, pictured with grandson Niko, 16 months, daughter Sammi, granddaughter Addie, 2½, and daughter Alli. “The decorations and treats were awesome!”
“Thank you to everyone who helped set up this event,” senior infrastructure specialist Wendy Repka wrote to the CCOC afterward. “My boys were able to come for the first time this year (had off school), and it was so nice! They loved how everyone decorated, and it was so much fun!”
