Cudahy branch manager Ray Guardiola graduated in May from UW-Green Bay with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership, taking advantage of North Shore Bank’s tuition reimbursement program to help with tuition expenses.
“The program wasn’t the reason I went back — I’d always wanted to finish my degree — but it was a cherry on top!” said Ray, whose aim was to add to his leadership skills so he could grow in his role here. “It feels great to have graduated — I have a lot more free time now!”
Employees who qualify for the reimbursement program can receive up to $4,800 of tuition per academic year if seeking an undergraduate degree in fields including business, management/HR, finance, math, accounting, computer science, marketing, and sales. Tuition reimbursement is also available for employees attending a technical college or seeking a graduate degree. Any business-related courses are eligible for reimbursement. Anyone interested in becoming fluent in Spanish can also make use of the reimbursement program.
Full information on the tuition reimbursement program is available here on Ask Seymour.
“It was very easy to apply for the tuition reimbursement program,” Ray said. “A few of my co-workers had taken advantage of it and told me how easy it was. It is as simple as discussing your eligibility with your manager and filling out a form for HR. If anyone is considering it, they should take advantage of it.”
