Call center footprint adds 3 spots at Northland
Here’s some cool news for our North region: Our call center job opportunities will expand early next year at our Appleton Northland office.
Currently, the Northland branch’s back room holds several employees, including video tellers. Over the next few weeks, that space will be reconfigured to add three call center employees as well.
For employees in the Appleton and Green Bay areas, this expansion means you can pursue your interest in a call center position without having to relocate to our Corporate office.
From a business continuity perspective, the bank will benefit from having a less centralized call center workforce in the event of dangerous weather or another emergency. Further, Green Bay and Appleton are home to several existing call centers, and we’ll now be able to tap into that employment market.
“Having multiple call center locations is really great news for us, from a staffing standpoint and for current employees who’ve been interested in these positions,” said vice president deposit operations Jude Lengell. “It’s exciting to have the technology that lets our call center agents work from multiple locations, because it means more opportunity for our employees and delivering on our promise to build more strong relationships with our customers throughout the state.”
To apply for one of the new call center positions, simply go through the normal internal application process. If you have questions, check with your manager. •••
Northland parade float features “candy cane forest”
Northland employees participated in the 49th annual Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade on November 26 with a festive float. “It went really well,” teller Yasmin Hossain-Hudson said. “It was very chilly, and it started sprinkling at the beginning and kept on throughout most of the parade, but everyone kept a smile on their faces. We had envisioned a candy cane ‘forest,’ and the float maker came pretty close to what we had in mind, so we really felt in the midst of the holiday spirit.” •••

Proposal at Christmas tree farm surprises Crain
McHenry assistant branch manager Mandy Crain got engaged over the holiday weekend at Richardson Christmas Tree Farm. It was Mandy’s and her boyfriend Chris’s 8-year-old son’s first time chopping down their own tree.
“Chris informed us that he wanted us to do the majority of the work to really enjoy the experience,” she said. “As I was sawing away, he asked if I was ready for a break yet and if I was going to leave any tree for our son to cut. I told him I would be up shortly, as I was determined, so I sawed a little more — and then he reached his hand out to me to help me up. As he helped me up to my feet, he dropped down to one knee and asked me to marry him.”
Bentley, Chris’s son, did end up finishing the job; you can see the tree above, behind Chris and to his right. “I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect and surprising proposal,” Mandy said. “I am still in shock and absolutely elated.” •••
Congrats, Mandy! So happy for you!
