To help our communities as the country deals with the COVID-19 pandemic, the next phase of our Bank on Kindness initiative will see our branches making donations to local food pantries.
Managers will drop off donations at eight pantries by the end of this week, for a total of $7,500 donated. Pantries include St. Joseph Food Program in Appleton, Milwaukee Christian Center’s Food Pantry, Shalom Center of the Interfaith Network in Kenosha, Hunger Task Force Inc. in Milwaukee, Love Inc. serving Burlington and Western Racine County, Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay, Feed and Clothe My People in Sturgeon Bay, and Racine County Food Bank. Illinois State Bank branches will donate another $1,000 total by the end of next week, as well, split between the Interfaith Food Pantry serving Lake in the Hills and the FISH of McHenry Food Pantry.
Along with their check, each pantry will also receive treats from local businesses for workers and volunteers and special kindness stickers from the bank. We are hoping for some cool photos and will share those when they come in!
