Branches help #MaskUpMKE get masks to Milwaukee
Our bankers are getting covid masks to people in need. The #MaskUpMKE project has provided 2.5 million masks to the Milwaukee community already, and is pushing to make and deliver even more by June 30.
Ben Palmer, who is coordinating #MaskUpMKE for Just One More Ministries, said in an email that the need for masks remains great.
“They are still going out as fast as we get them in,” he wrote, adding: “I also want you to know how much people appreciate receiving these free, volunteer-made masks. These are going to senior living, medical facilities, homeless shelters, food pantries, inner city churches and nonprofits, police and fire departments, Milwaukee county transit, Milwaukee County Health Department, and so many more places.” •••

New Hires for June 18
It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.
Sherell Harris was born in raised in Milwaukee and previously worked as a guest representative at Fiserv Forum. “I am a huge Packers fan and concertgoer,” she says. “I have seen everyone from James Brown to Britney Spears. I also coupon in my free time.”
Facilities and purchasing specialist Noah Rhodes is from Nashotah and recently graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. “Because my sisters are much younger than me — they’re 11 and 7 while I am 22 — I have grown up helping raise children and it has become one of my favorite things to do,” he says. “I look forward to having my own children one day. I feel like a lot of people would be nervous or unprepared to have kids, but with the amount of experience I have, I feel pretty confident that I wouldn’t completely screw it up.”
Residential loan specialist Kercia Scott is from Milwaukee. She previously worked in billing at Aurora Health Care, and before that at Finastra and Wells Fargo. “I tried to venture off in other industries over the last couple years, and realized recently the mortgage industry is home for me. This is where my passion lies,” she says. “In my personal time, I enjoying spending time with my daughter, cooking different recipes and hosting events for my family. I may be a city girl, but I am a country girl at heart. I am a die-hard Alabama fan — ROLL TIDE. My goal is to get to Tuscaloosa and watch a game with my daughter.” •••
Corey marks one year at branch
Southwest branch employees celebrated teller Van Corey’s one-year anniversary with the bank earlier this month.
“It does not seem like it has been that long,” branch manager Joline Lazarski said. “Van has won the hearts of customers, and during this difficult time with COVID-19 has gone above and beyond to make them feel appreciated in the drive-up! Both customers and all of us will miss him a lot, as he is transferring to our Germantown office.” •••
