Over 20 years, Milosevich has built a thriving team
When she joined North Shore Bank in 2000, VP and investment sales manager Erika Milosevich was the first manager for the bank’s brand-new Investment Services department, charged with getting the new division up and running while also serving as sales representative for all of Milwaukee. Before that, she’d been a wholesaler for the in-house mutual funds managed by M&I Trust Corporation. She would not have expected that she’d still be here 20 years later, she says. “It’s rare these days to have such a long tenure somewhere.”

But it makes sense, since she’s been critical to our success. Read more about her career now!

After welding and Walmart, Hendrickson found banking
Twenty years ago, Tammy Hendrickson was wrapping up a decade at Walmart, where she worked as customer service manager, as well as on the service desk and as head of the layaway department. “I also liked to fill in for office personnel when they would go on vacation. By the time I left, I could practically run the store!” she jokes.

It’s a similar story at our Sturgeon Bay East branch, where she’s a personal banker. Read more about her career!

Project provided 1 million+ masks for Milwaukee
Numbers are in, and we can report that North Shore Bank and Just One More Ministry’s other partners distributed more than 1,440 kits to over 1,300 volunteers for the #MaskUpMKE initiative, leaving the greater Milwaukee area with more than 1,012,900 masks to help fight the spread of COVID-19. Fantastic work! Many thanks to everyone who helped give out and collect kits and who made masks at home. •••

Germantown branch opens this Monday

The new Germantown branch.

Our new Germantown branch opens this Monday, July 20. The 2,250-square-foot branch will feature a Germanic design concept and offer service options including a self-serve coin counter and remote video teller service.

“My team and I are very eager to open the branch and help expand the North Shore Bank footprint in Wisconsin,” says branch manager Erica Hughes. “I am passionate about building new relationships and making community connections, including inviting the public to the many events we will be hosting. We’re excited to build strong business relationships in Germantown.”

To kick things off, the first 50 cars to visit the branch’s drive-thru on Friday, July 24, receive a $5 gift certificate for Robert’s Frozen Custard in honor of National Drive-Thru Day. •••

Northside shows off remodeled space, cool old pics

The remodeled lobby at Northside. Lisa Brooks is helping a customer in the background.

Our Northside branch in Racine has completed its remodel. As you can see from the photos, the new open-concept look is smart and roomy, with lots of sunshine coming in to show off the lovely colors.

Inside Northside, circa 1972.

In the process of remodeling, the Northside team also found some old photos of the branch interior. Their best guess is that the pictures date from the early 1970s, following a previous redecoration of the space.

And post-remodel, featuring assistant branch manager Cathy Straka.

“There are some little items that still need finishing, but to have it done for the most part and be able to present it to our clients is a privilege, because it looks gorgeous,” branch manager Lisa Brooks says of the remodeled office. “Our favorite part is the lit halo on the ceiling and the new TV screens behind us that really pop when you enter the branch. Everyone who comes in comments on how bright, happy, modern, and clean the branch is— they can’t believe it’s the same building. We love our new branch and are incredibly proud of it.” •••

This photo tweeted by Brandon Schmitz of Milwaukee on July 9 shows lightning striking the U.S. Bank Center. We’re glad it didn’t happen while the North Shore Climbers were at the building fighting for air! •••

Thinking of building? Look into our construction loans
Is someone you know thinking of building a new home? They’ll want to talk to one of our mortgage lenders about a North Shore Bank all-in-one construction loan. We make it easy: one application, one closing, one loan — and great savings, of course. Here are a few things to know:

  • Payments during construction are interest-only.
  • During construction, the loan is an adjustable-rate product, with the rate typically locked for three or five years, and then adjusting every year after that.
  • With our single closing, payments after construction is finished include principal, interest, taxes, and insurance. Customers who prefer to move into a different fixed-rate mortgage product are eligible for a $500 discount on refinancing closing costs.
