Mortgage loan originator Robin Tegel is from Milwaukee but moved to Kenosha in 2018. (“My new husband expected me to live with him!” she jokes.) She previously worked at Marine Credit Union in subprime lending. “I love being in nature, and some years ago I was on a Mississippi River canoe trip with my family when one of our canoes was overturned by the currents created by the barges,” she says. “Super scary! We had to gather all the gear floating in the water and circle our other canoes around my mom, who was in the river until we could get her back to shore. We still love to canoe as a family, but now we stay in the backwaters.”
