Concerned about the school year? Log on to share ideas
For many students, back-to-school time will not involve leaving the home this year. Parents and kids alike must now navigate our brave new world through online portals. It is a new experience for most of us, and it will likely be both nerve-racking and frustrating at times. But these unique challenges will also give rise to unique solutions and creativity.
Southridge area branch manager Carolyn Lyrenmann is offering to host a weekly discussion for employees to connect and discuss school-related challenges and solutions, and to provide peer support to one another as we begin life as part-time educators.
The meetings will be employee-led and include discussion of specific topics and resources, as well as an open forum period. They will take place via Zoom, on Thursday nights from 7 to 7:30 p.m., starting next Thursday, September 10.
If you are interested in learning new strategies and sharing what has worked for your family (and what hasn’t) so that we can all learn from each other, please email Carolyn at clyrenmann@northshorebank.com. Once we have an idea of how many people are interested, we will proceed from there. •••
Learn how you can become a floater
“I love feeling so appreciated for the work I do. I also get to go on an adventure to different locations every day and get paid for it.” That’s what universal banker Tracee Born says she loves about being a floater.
Floating tellers and floating universal bankers are a key component of our branch staffing. If you’ve worked in a branch, you’ve probably had a day when you breathed a sigh of relief to have a floater there to help, when someone was out, on vacation, or at a meeting. As one floater puts it, “Walking into a branch and staff going ‘Yay! Help has arrived!’ is a good feeling.”
Right now, we are looking for floating tellers and UBs in all of our markets. You have an opportunity to join this team of “helper superheroes” by applying today. Find out more now!
Kenosha Festival Foods’ Reyes among Élan Elite
Kenosha Festival Foods assistant branch manager Karina Reyes has been recognized as one of Élan’s top credit card producers in the country, giving her the coveted status of Élan Elite for 2020.
As a result of this honor, she will receive $50 and be entered for the opportunity to win additional prizes at the end of the year. For example, for each new activated credit card account she books between August 1 and December 31, Karina will receive a sweepstakes entry for the chance to win between $250 and $1,000.
“Karina’s dedication to customer service is evident in how she has helped numerous customers this past year prepare for financial emergencies by offering a North Shore Bank credit card,” district manager Brian Bozek said. “Karina, congratulations on this monumental achievement! Your dedication to providing the very best financial services to our customers has resulted in this success.” •••
