Our “You Can” series on financial literacy in the Shepherd Express continues with installments on managing finances for kids and family and becoming a homeowner, as well as an upcoming happy hour event.

In September, Shorewood area branch manager Shannon Weber talked to the alt-weekly newspaper for a piece titled “You Can Grow and Support Your Family.” And last week, a conversation with senior mortgage lender Greg Kroll ran under the headline “You Can Become a Homeowner.” Greg invited readers to register for a casual happy hour on Tuesday, November 2, at Birch. The free event will feature light food and a craft beer tasting.

North End branch manager Ray Guardiola started the “You Can” series off with an article in August. The series recommends that readers take our quick “financial IQ assessment” to see where they can improve. Take a look at it and let customers, friends, and family know about it too!
