New North End branch manager Heather Somers has worked in banking for 18 years; she started as a part-time teller and has been in management for 13 years. She describes her management style as “pretty collaborative”: “I like to get input from the entire team. You never know who is going to have a great idea.” What would Heather be doing if she weren’t in this industry? “That’s a tough question,” she says. “I’ve been in banking so long, I can’t imagine anything thing else — I like to help people, and I love to solve problems. I used to write stories when I was younger, and I love to read now. Maybe I’d be someone who reviews new novels!”
