We make the mistake of trying to do too much with our own intellect. We can accomplish much more if we get out of our own way and let the work flow. The ego masquerades as a friend, but it’s a limitation; the calm mind does so much more with ease than the mind concerned with rewards and praise.
Try this meditation for one minute today, or longer if you wish:
I WILL ALLOW myself to let things occur in their own course. I will calmly let my intuition guide me, rather than forcing it.
Hanuman leaped forward without a moment’s hesitation…
He was truly a wondrous sight…
His eyes blazed bright as lightning, like twin fires
upon a mountain slope, like the sun and moon frozen in place…
The wind under his arms rumbled and he shot forward like a blazing comet.
—The Ramayana
