Elmbrook Humane Society’s annual Wagfest event returned on September 10, at Mitchell Park in Brookfield. North Shore Bank was a sponsor, and employees and their family members came out to help fill the day with fun for furry friends and their humans.
Here are some photos:
Wagfest volunteers included district manager Cristen Baumann’s daughter Brianna and friend Alex, Cristen, West Allis universal banker Andrea Bahena, video teller Erika Garcia, and Erika’s son Uriel and daughter Itzayana.
Visitors had a lovely time decorating rocks at our station. “Several added their dogs’ or cats’ names to the rocks, and many said they would place them in their gardens,” Cristen said. “Some even became emotional, because they were decorating the rocks as memorials for lost pets.”
Brianna, Alex, Uriel, and Itzayana shared pets, nuzzles, and treats with some delighted four-legged guests.
The day included lots of activities for both dogs and humans, as well as food and refreshments for both species.
“It was great!” Cristen said. “The lines for the lure courses were long, vendors were busy, and so was the grill. With the excellent weather, we were packed with attendees.”
