Memories of son’s childhood make book a favorite for Isenhower

Northland universal banker Kim Balser (right) poses with mortgage loan originator Michele Cope and a copy of Michele’s book, which Kim won in our recent contest.

“My all-time favorite book is Are You My Mother? by P.D. Eastman,” writes Menasha teller Jennifer Isenhower. If you’re not familiar with it, this children’s book tells the sweet, funny story of a baby bird who hatches while his mother is out finding food for him. He falls out of his nest and sets off on a quest to find her. “I read it over and over to my son — at bedtime, he would always grab it and ask me to read it to him. Now he is all grown up, but the book still has a special place in my heart!”
