This print and the dog at lower right are just two of the pieces Maria will be selling this weekend at Saint Kate’s Holiday Marketplace.

Video teller Maria De La O Sanchez will be selling prints from her booth at Saint Kate’s Holiday Marketplace this Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11. Held both days from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel in Milwaukee’s East Town neighborhood, the marketplace features two floors of unique art, crafts, and gifts from 125 of the area’s finest makers. It’s a great place to do your holiday shopping while enjoying local music and maybe a cocktail too. Admission is free. More info here.

Looking for more to do? Here are suggestions from the bank’s event calendar:

Candy Cane Lane in West Allis is now open through Christmas Day. The annual neighborhood holiday-lights display raises money to help the MACC Fund fight children’s cancer. Santa Claus will be there every night from December 6 to 23. Check out candycanelanewi.com for more information, including a calendar of appearances from other local groups.

For Wild Lights, the Milwaukee County Zoo transforms into an illuminated world with millions of sparkling lights and glowing animal displays, today and throughout the month of December. Stroll on a tranquil yet festive one-mile path through the zoo’s very own snow globe to see a variety of shimmering large-scale animal displays. The event will not run on December 5, 6, 12, 13, 24, or 25. Tickets can be purchased here.

The Latino Entrepreneurial Network’s 16th Exito Awards will be next Monday, December 12, at the Oak Creek Community Center. Sponsored by North Shore Bank, this will be an evening of fun, entertainment, prizes, and live music that celebrates and recognizes entrepreneurs and small businesses in our community. More info on the event and how to RSVP here.
