The Corporate Community Outreach Committee book drive for Next Door brought in 565 books for kids!
Floors 1, 2, and 3 at Corporate competed against Floors 4 and 5 during the week of June 19 to see who could donate the most books. The lower floors emerged victorious, winning themselves a free scoop from Board Together’s Da Udder Spot ice cream trailer on Wednesday, June 28.
To get everybody into an appropriately literary spirit, a door decorating contest saw Corporate employees dressing up doors throughout the building based on their favorite books or authors. The Auditing/BSA entrance door took first place for its Harry Potter theme, the Brookfield Square branch entrance came in second with its Very Hungry Caterpillar design, and the video tellers/Marketing door placed third with its Curious George look. Ribbons were created by senior deposit operations specialist Janet Russell out of Seymour Savings bookmarks.
