Treats were had by all at the Elmbrook Humane Society’s Wagfest

A tail-waggin’ good time was had by all at the Elmbrook Humane Society’s Wagfest on September 9th! North Shore Bank employees volunteered their time and gave back to the community’s furry, four-legged friends at Wagfest.

More than 7,000 community members joined their furry friends for the 15th annual Wagfest, an event that helps raise money for Elmbrook Humane Society. The event offers an opportunity for the pups and their humans to come together as a community to celebrate their bond. The festival included food, music, shopping, several different raffles, and of course activities for the dogs.

Attendees could pick up a North Shore Bank branded bag at our tent to keep their goodies in, snag a treat for their pup, and take a pup portrait home with them. We always look forward to Wagfest and supporting a wonderful local organization like the Elmbrook Humane Society that gives back to our furry best friends!

Cristen Baumann, vice president and district manager at North Shore Bank, was a board director at Wagfest for seven years. Today, she is part of the Wagfest Personnel Committee and helps train volunteers with leadership and telephone skills. Cristen notes that apart from giving back to the community, it is important to her that North Shore Bank continues to be a part of the event so that it continues its 10 year tradition of involvement.

Each year, this is one of the most highly anticipated North Shore Bank volunteer opportunities among employees. Cristen says she receives multiple phone calls each year from employees hoping to get involved. A big thank you to this year’s volunteers: Cindy Lohrey, Erica Johnson, Emily, Rachel Rasmussen, Heidi Becker, Mary Rose B., Bridget S., Shannon Quinn, Ryan M., and Cristen Baumann.
