Wrap Up Rallies hand out awards for top performers of the year
The North Shore Bank branch teams got together with internal partners on October 24th and 25th to celebrate top performers and hand out awards at the annual Wrap Up Rallies!
The branch teams were awarded for both individual and team success across North Shore core production areas. Additionally, awards were given to the top branches in customer survey feedback, top employees receiving customer kudos, and security team.
Branch of the Year:
- Germantown Branch
As runner-up for Branch of the Year last year, Erica Hughes and the Germantown branch team were determined to take the top prize. Erica and Tarvinder Kaur (Personal Banker), along with new Lead Teller Nicholas Rodiez, brought home the trophy in 2023 as Branch of the Year.
Branch Managers of the Year:
-
- Muskego Branch Manager Stephanie Ruiz
Stephanie Ruiz and the Muskego team are no stranger to this award. They have won or been in close competition for the last several years. Muskego Personal Banker Matthew Cieslak, Lead Teller Mel Grode, and Associate Banker Sara Speich each took home honors as a top performer for their position as well.
- Ashwaubenon Branch Manager Sharon Hack
This is Sharon’s first time winning Branch Manager of the Year. Sharon and her team earned the top spot with 115% in all production categories. Assistant Manager Stevie Nemetz and Associate Bankers Leigha Johnson and Jenny Skenandore also took home trophies for their respective positions.

District Manager of the Year:
- North District Manager Kerri Collins
Kerri Collins and her North District team overcame long-term staffing challenges and other obstacles to reach the pinnacle. “Kerri is so dedicated to motivating and coaching people to new heights, it’s no surprise she is consistently a top performer. She works so hard to help each and every team member be the best that they can be, and I am so happy for her success,” said VP-Branch Sales Manager Craig Witz.
Special Recognition Award:
- Sarah Speich (11 years)
- Mickey Adams (8 years)
- Sara Swosinksi (6 years)
This award is given to employees who have been highlighted by customers for their service multiple years in a row.
“Our theme in 2024 is ‘Powered by Possibility’, and each of our branch employees has the possibility – the potential – to be a top performer. We’ll get there by dedicating ourselves to delivering high-touch service to every customer, every day. Let’s make it happen!” said Craig Witz in his closing remarks.

COMMUNITY-MINDED
Employees use Volunteer PTO to rescue horses, chaperone students
Dana Scherff (VP, Information Systems) used her time to volunteer with Riding with Angels during an event with 25 kids from the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center. The kids had the opportunity to tour the barn, meet the animals, play corn hole, eat a delicious BBQ and enjoy a bonfire.
“I started volunteering with Riding with Angels in May 2018 because they needed a lot of volunteers to help with an unplanned delivery of several rescues,” says Dana. “Once I started volunteering, I was hooked. I’m lucky enough to call one of those rescues my horse, Hope.”
Riding with Angels’ two-fold mission not only rescues horses but also helps kids learn life skills including trust, accountability, and patience. Its horsemanship program for youth introduces them to animal care and provides free horse riding lessons.
“I love seeing the kids evolve in the few hours they’re at the barn. Many come in not wanting to feed the horses treats or brush horses…but when they leave, they are hugging the horses, feeding them treats and interacting with them with newfound confidence.”
Additionally, Bilingual Video Teller Erika Garcia recently used her volunteer PTO to chaperone her daughter Itzayana’s 4K class field trip to Cedarburg Creek Pumpkin Farm.
There’s still time to get out there and use your Volunteer PTO before the end of the year! 03092
SERVICE ANNIVERSARIES
Green Bay West branch celebrates team member anniversary
On Friday, October 20th, North Shore Bank’s Green Bay West branch celebrated Hali Thompson’s 15 year work anniversary. The branch team gifted Hali a bouquet of flowers and other goodies, as well as personal thank you notes.
“Throughout the beginning of the week while she was out of the office, we had customers write thank you notes to Hali on leftover ‘Thank a Banker’ cards. We thought handwritten cards from customers she has worked with throughout the years would be a thoughtful & sentimental touch,” says Teller Rose Ray.
PERSONAL CELEBRATIONS
Danielle Hansen welcomes baby boy
Kenosha Main Area Manager Danielle Hansen returned to work recently after having her baby, Jameson. The branch team celebrated by decorating her office and giving her snacks.
“Danielle, you are an amazing manager and always go above and beyond for not only your clients but your staff as well. We appreciate you. Welcome back!” says Lead Teller Shana English.

North Shore Bank’s Germantown branch sponsored the Halloween Haunted Library Walkthrough on October 23, 2023. Branch staff volunteered to engage with the community at this free, family-friendly event.
The annual haunted library is a less-frightening alternative to traditional trick-or-treating.
During this event, adult members of the organization transformed the library with Halloween-themed decor and passed out candy and other goodies to the children in their community. North Shore Bank volunteers took polaroid photos of the trick or treaters with their families and handed them out in 100-year frames!
