Singing Telegrams for our 100th year serenade department employees
La-la-lovely – our Singing Telegram program was a huge hit!
Singers Erika Milosevich, Tricia Cravillion, Drew Wallach, Dean Trout, and Tim Dotson visited each floor of the corporate office and serenaded department employees. Branch employees were also treated to songs at this year’s Wrap Up Rallies.
The lyrics to the songs were penned by Joe Fretschel and edited by Whitney Bartholomew and the singers.
Employees were encouraged to participate in chorus verses and were surprised and delighted by the telegrams. Many people spontaneously broke out into arm waving and lit up the room with their cell phone flashlights.
This group of singing employees was a product of our Centennial Bank on Kindness Employee team, who identified fun activities for employees to participate in through the year.

THROWBACK THURSDAY
Our history of honoring veterans
Over the years, the bank has held special events to honor veterans. Among these events were opportunities for the community to stop by a local office to meet veteran Norm Neitzke, who was one of the original Band of Brothers.
People could enter to win autographed Band of Brothers books and DVDs of the miniseries. We invited people to bring in items for local troops serving overseas and enjoy refreshments.

Sister Bay branch gets a fresh remodel
The Sister Bay branch recently completed a remodel project after nearly two years of ideating. New paint, carpeting, lighting, break room flooring, and furniture were all updated within three weeks, resulting in a brighter and inviting space.
New features in Sister Bay include a Teller pod from the El Rey store and an original painting by internationally-known watercolor artist and Door County local, Connie Glowacki.
The local team was fantastic at guiding customers through construction areas during the period of transition.
The remodel isn’t the only new addition to the Sister Bay branch; since the renovation, Sister Bay has hired a new Manager, William (Will) Cole!

NORTH SHORE BANK CENTENNIAL
North Shore Bank’s grocery store branches
Some might not know that North Shore Bank used to have branches in Cub Foods, Piggly Wiggly, and Festival Foods!
Most branches that used to reside inside grocery stores are now free-standing structures close to the footprint of the grocery stores. When the last Cub grocery store closed in Wisconsin in 2012, North Shore Bank made the decision to secure leases for branches in the surrounding neighborhoods. With video teller service and lobby hours, customers still get the same extended hours they were offered at the grocery stores, plus a full variety of transactions and customer interactions.
Sharon Hack, Area Manager of the Green Bay West Branch, used to work at the Cub Foods East in Green Bay. Sharon says, “I liked working in a grocery store environment. I loved shopping after my work day.”
Although, perhaps it wasn’t all good! Sharon continues, “One time after a snow storm, I was out at the ATM balancing the machine at the Piggly Wiggly branch in Howard and a snow plow came through and blocked the ATM door. It was so heavy, I could not open the door! Eventually someone heard me screaming, and they shoveled me out.”

North Shore Bank employees get into the spirit of Halloween
Branches really got into the spirit of Halloween this year!
Burlington hosted their 2nd Annual Painted Pumpkin Contest. Bank customers could view and vote on their favorite painted pumpkins, with voting ending on Halloween. The winners of the 2023 Painted Pumpkin Contest were:
- 1st Place: Lead Teller Emily Henry
- 2nd Place: Associate Banker Bryana Stagg
- Third Place: A tie between Personal Banker Carly Adams and Branch Manager Jonathan White
Additionally, employees Stephanie Ruiz and Sara Speich, and Sara’s daughter Braelyn, attended the first annual Trunk or Treat at the Muskego PD.
“We had a great turn out,” Sara said. “Approximately 1,000 people showed up!”
The event also was a great opportunity to promote Greenlight – an app that allows parents to automate allowances, manage chores, and send money instantly. Kids and teens can utilize the app to learn the importance of earning, saving, and spending their money wisely.
With the built-in parental controls, Greenlight allows North Shore Bank to offer a co-branded banking experience for parents and their kids – before they graduate to the products we offer at North Shore Bank!
