North Shore Bank employees attend WBA’s Capitol Day

A group of sixteen employees attended WBA’s Capitol Day event on February 22, 2024! The team spent the morning with other bankers from around Wisconsin being briefed on legislative issues that have an impact on the banking industry.

The sixteen employees who attended were Kristen Gagliano, Molly Schissler, Rachel Rasmussen, Kerri Collins, Jonathan White, Lacee Kalepp, Aubrey Abrahamson, Maria Baumer, Ray Guardiola, Kristin Monday, Tisha Kenfield, James O’Brien, Shannon Quinn, Erica Hughes, Cristen Baumann, and Mariella Zarb.

The group had a luncheon with guest speaker Governor Evers and walked to the Capitol to meet with legislators from our home districts.

Some of the topics discussed included data privacy, elder financial abuse, personal financial education requirement for high schools, a banking modernization bill, and tax parity. In between meetings, some employees were able to watch the assembly voting in action while others took a tour of the capitol building.

What an incredible experience!
