The North Shore Bank Climbers team hit the steps — 30 floors! — on March 9 to raise money for the American Lung Association. Chief HR Officer Molly Schissler and her husband, Jeff, Kristin Hoch, Deposit Operations Team Leader, and Carrie Feiker, Senior Deposit Operations Specialist, participated in the annual Fight for Air Climb at the 411 East Wisconsin Center.
The team raised more than $530 for the American Lung Association this year. North Shore Bank employees have participated in the climb since 2013.
Molly said she enjoys the Fight for Air Climb event because it’s easy to do, takes just a little time, is well organized, and benefits a great cause. “I was finally able to convince my husband to do the climb this year. He thought it would be much more difficult than it actually is,” she said. “I’d love to see more employees participate next year!”
Carrie said Kristin encouraged her to do it a few years ago, and she’s been doing it ever since, adding that she’d love for more North Shore Bank employees to join them in the future.
“Aside from the accomplishment of the climb itself, it’s a good reminder not to take our health, especially our lungs, for granted,” she said.
Carrie has relatives who have had lung-related health problems and lost a friend to lung cancer a few years ago. “I make the climb for them, but also to help improve the lives of so many others living with lung and respiratory diseases.”
Great job, North Shore Bank Climbers!
