The Shorewood Criterium Cycling Classic celebrated its 20th year in June, and, as in years past, North Shore Bank sponsored the kids’ race.

North Shore Bank set up a bike-decorating station, allowing kids to add a personal touch to their bikes. “The bike-decorating experience was so popular!” Shannon Weber, Shorewood branch manager, said. “I am so glad kiddos had fun with that.”

The bank also had exciting giveaways for the young racers, with Culver’s frozen custard waiting for the almost 300 finishers. 03057

“I love that we can participate and do this,” Shannon said. “It is an opportunity for us to talk and interact with the community.  Even though rain came and gave us a scare that the races could be cancelled, it did not stop the kiddos from coming out and enjoying the day, and their races.”

Shannon noted that this year’s was the biggest turnout she’s ever seen for the event!

Helping at this year’s event were Erika Garcia, video center teller; Ann Marie Krecak, AVP,  assistant controller; David Holada, Cudahy lead teller; Shannon; Shakara Bobo, commercial lending services analyst; and two Shorewood branch interns, Fabian Cornelio-Munoz and Vidal Ojeda.

Great job to all involved!
