Spotlight: 35th Service Anniversary
Scott Jensen has gotten a lot of experience under his belt since the the 1970s, and he puts it to use making life easier for our customers, helping them with their leases and mortgages. “I try to put myself in the customer’s seat and explain things the way I would like them explained,” he says. “I don’t like to sell something just to sell it. It’s got to fit what their goals are.”
Spotlight: 20th Service Anniversary
For Denise Dionisio, this week marks more than just two decades in banking. Following a path she’s been on since a mentor from her earliest days encouraged her, she’s moving from Checking Services into a new job in our Accounting Department. She’ll complete her accounting degree next spring. “I’m ready for the challenge,” she says.
Around the Bank
• Our employee picnic at the Milwaukee County Zoo drew rave reviews — you can check out a bunch of the smiling faces from the day here.
• As the event’s title sponsor, we told car lovers about our checking and loan promotions and gave away prizes at the Car, Truck & Bike Show at the Racine Zoo.
• Two weeks ago, we mentioned that part of a movie starring Sean Astin had been filmed at Fox Point. Since then it’s been announced that The Surface will be the Closing Night film at this year’s Milwaukee Film Festival, showing on Oct 9 at the Oriental Theatre at 8pm. Tickets are available now through the festival’s website at mkefilm.org. Buy yours and find out if any North Shore Bank employees or customers made it to the silver screen!
Announcements
• Our Milwaukee-area branches are hosting a book drive for Next Door’s Books for Kids program. Through Sep 30, the community is invited to drop off new or gently used children’s books at branches in Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Ozaukee counties.
• Reminder: We have a checking promotion through the end of the month. Folks who open a new checking account can get a free Android smartphone.
