On Oct 24, the Information Systems department hosted a Halloween haunted house to raise money for the MACC Fund — Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer — reports Product Analyst DJ Bluma.
Corporate employees donated $5 to walk through the department, see all the decorations, and be “spooked” by various IS employees. IS employees baked many desserts and treats, and prepared caramel apples for additional donations. There was a raffle for several different items, too.
“It went very well,” DJ says. “This is the thrd time that we have done this. Some areas were near pitch-black, creating quite a spooky atmosphere and allowing for some very good frightful screams — especially when the data center ogre pounded on the dark glass lit by a strobe light.”
“Best haunted experience yet,” said AVP Cindy Hundt. And AVP Lynn Strothenke told IS, “Your haunted house was awesome! You did a great job of freaking me out!”
Besides successfully scaring their coworkers, the IS department raised $800 for the MACC Fund. Nice job, team!
Okay, enough with the freaky clowns! Man that was scary but thanks for the fun!
Awesome haunted house, I’m still afraid to go up to the third floor!
Best Haunted House Ever!
Thanks to the IS Dept. for all the work and the extra hours it took to put that together.
It was worth every minute of it. Thanks for raising the money for the MAAC Fund, well done.
I didn’t like the killer clowns either!!
