Thanksgiving contest: Share what you’re grateful for

“When you are grateful — when you can see what you have — you unlock blessings to flow in your life.” —Suze Orman

WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR? As the fourth Thursday of November approaches, it’s easy to get excited about days off, watching football, relaxing with family and friends, and eating too much turkey and stuffing. So let’s take a moment to think about what Thanksgiving really is: an opportunity to reflect on the good people and things in our lives, and to express our gratitude for them.

Here’s how we’ll do it:

  1. Send a few sentences about whom or what you’re thankful for to shorelines@northshorebank.com.
  2. Feel free to include a photo of the person or thing you’re grateful for.
  3. Photos must be received by 5pm Friday, Nov 21.

“‘Thank you’ is the best prayer that anyone could say. I say that one a lot. Thank you expresses extreme gratitude, humility, understanding.” —Alice Walker

We’ll run your words and photos in the Nov 26 issue of Shorelines, right before Thanksgiving. Everyone who submits something will be entered in a drawing for the grand prize of a $25 gas card.

“I don’t need a holiday or a feast to feel grateful for my children, the sun, the moon, the roof over my head, music, and laughter, but I like to take this time to take the path of thanks less traveled.” —Paula Poundstone

Looking forward to seeing what you send us! As ever, one thing the Shorelines team is grateful for is the chance to serve the people of North Shore Bank. Thanks so much for being such a pleasure to work with throughout the year.
