NSB staff give thanks for family, friends, coworkers, and more

Earlier this month, we asked you to tell Shorelines what you were thankful for this year. We’re thankful to those of you who took the time to share these thoughtful, funny, and poignant responses. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at North Shore Bank, and all of your loved ones!

I am thankful for my grandaughter, Mackenzie. She is the apple of my eye. We spend every weekend together along with her mom and dad. She is 4 years old and is taking horseback lessons — her teacher can’t believe how well she is doing. I am so proud of her. I am truly blessed.

My grandma Geri is whom I am most thankful for. I have some of the most amazing, irreplaceable, and fun memories of times with her. From the moment I was born, she has been more than just my grandma — she has been my living guardian angel. I would be lost in life without her direction. She motivates me to push harder and guides me during my hardest moments. I don’t know who I would be today if I didn’t have her in my life.

Lexy Manor, Universal Banker, Mequon
I am thankful that my family and I were able to save my sister’s life when she was dealing with an abusive boyfriend and addiction. After years of her falling deeper and deeper into a hole, we were able to have a successful intervention and get her the help she needed. With the help of many professional counselors, my parents have their daughter back and I have my sister back. I cannot show enough gratitude to all the people who helped with her recovery.

Jan Born, Training Specialist, North Region
This year I’m especially thankful for my health. Why? Earlier this year I was challenged with a heart issue that I’ve now beat. It makes me appreciate every day even more.

Julie Evrard, Universal Banker, West Allis
I’m thankful for all of the people in my life — family, friends, and coworkers — as they are always reminding me of the little things in life that I am forever grateful for. Smiles, laughs, and words of encouragement definitely go a long way!

Cristin Erdmann, Teller, West Allis
I am thankful for many things — of course, my family and friends, and also my amazing coworkers and the relationships that I have made over the past year working at North Shore Bank! I can’t wait to see what other opportunities come!

I am thankful that my son Robert finally found a job! LOL. He is working at the JCPenney salon at Brookfield Square Mall. (He likes to be goofy in pics.) Shameless plug here: If anyone needs a stylist, just let him know!

Brittany Dahlke, Video Teller Supervisor
Of course, I am thankful for the wonderful people I have been blessed with in my life, including my family, friends, and coworkers who became friends. I am also thankful for the small things in life, and the opportunities I have been given along the way. I am thankful to the coworkers I have had at North Shore Bank, who have guided me along in my career here, believing in me before I believed in myself. And finally, I am thankful for the hard times in life, as they remind me to appreciate the good and not to take it for granted … I have a lot to be thankful for this year!

Heidi Becker, Commercial Loan Specialist
I am thankful for my two beautiful daughters and my husband. Since losing my parents and my brother, so they are my only family. I am also thankful for my NSB coworkers and friends who are my extended family. Hope everyone enjoys the holidays together with their loved ones!
