From HR: For third year, North Shore Bank named a ‘Best Bank to Work For’

We are very pleased to announce our recognition in American Banker magazine as a “Best Bank to Work For” for the third consecutive year. This is such an honor for us all! We’d like to share some of the results of the survey and let you know about some initiatives we have planned for the near future. We’d also like to thank you for your feedback — it helps us maintain and improve our positive work environment. Read on for more.

Around the Bank

Ashwaubenon car wash: The Ashwaubenon High School cross-country team held a car wash outside our branch on Aug 21 to raise money for new uniforms. The branch also served lunch to help bring in cars. “They earned over $700 for the team uniforms and are looking forward to including our logo on marketing items, and they may participate in our nonprofit checking opportunity,” reports Branch Manager Mistine Thomson. “Great success!”

Paws and Claws: Mequon held its second annual pet-focused Paws and Claws event on Aug 8, featuring educational offerings, free hot dogs, gifts, and activities for animals, all provided by local vendors. “We had plenty of furry friends come for nail clippings, doggie tattoos, and homemade doggie treats,” reports Personal Banker Sammi Montini, who organized the event with help from her coworkers. The branch took in “tons of donations,” she says, which Branch Manager Michele Padovano delivered to the Humane Society.

Pulaski golf outing: We had nice weather for this year’s Pulaski Chamber Golf Outing on Aug 4, sponsored by North Shore Bank. “It was a great day with lots of fun and a wonderful networking event,” says Branch Manager Mistine Thomson, above at right, next to ABMO Karen Jach.

SOAR survey: Results from the recent SOAR survey on the Mortgage Origination and Loan Administration departments are in. Here are a few of the great comments left by internal customers.

Home-buying basics: If you or someone you know is planning to buy a new home, VP Chris Boland has a quick guide outlining the necessary steps. You can share this information with any of your customers who could use it, too.

Suamico branch: We announced last week that we’re building a new, full-service branch in Suamico, with plans to open in the spring. Howard staff will transfer to the new location, which will feature a variety of cutting-edge technology. For more information, read the official press release.
