Read on to learn more about Sarah and Brent’s time with their patients Dorothy and Ron.
Final call for Veterans Day photos
Veterans Day is coming up on Nov 11, and Shorelines wants to honor the troops who have served our country. If you are a military veteran or have any veterans in your family, please share a photo at shorelines@northshorebank.com. We’ll run the photos on Nov 12, along with stories about these service people.
Around the Bank
NEW Zoo Boo: Thousands of people showed up over three weekends in October for the Northeastern Wisconsin Zoo’s Zoo Boo festivities. North Shore Bank was the title sponsor of the event and offered treats, games and prizes, and a free photo booth for visitors. Many thanks to all of the employees who showed up to represent the bank at the zoo!
CSC wrap-up: The Customer Support Center held its fiscal year leader wrap-up meeting on Oct 30, followed by lunch at Cooper’s Hawk. “We had a great year and accomplished much,” reports AVP Lynn Strothenke.
Promotions: October 2015
We asked employees who were promoted in October what quality or habit helped them achieve their new positions, and how they practiced it during the workday. Here’s what they said.
“I would say it is a genuine interest and respect for my customers and my team. I am curious about people, want to know them better, want the best for them, and enjoy being able to form partnerships with them to help them. It might be something as simple as solving a problem or as big as achieving a dream. North Shore Bank is a great place to help others learn to help themselves.”
—Coral Jordan, Grafton, promoted from Universal Banker to Personal Banker
“Quality customer care and support. During my workday, I practice this by going the extra mile to make sure my customers are taken care of.”
—Angelia Sorensen, Westgate, promoted from Teller to Universal Banker
“Every day, I give the best customer service I can give and always make sure our customers are satisfied with the bank as a whole. I believe customer service is what keeps our customers coming back to NSB. Keeping that in mind throughout the day makes my job easier.”
—LeSette Cortez-Malacara, Cudahy, promoted from Teller to Teller Supervisor
Other promotions:
Nicholas Huss, Investment Services, promoted from Investment Representative to Investment Consultant
Kinnon Schreiber, Information Systems, promoted from Product Analyst to Product Analyst I
Kudos
North Shore Bank and Banzai Financial Education have joined forces to donate financial literacy software to six Green Bay–area schools, to help teachers offer instruction on the subject. The schools are Bay View Middle School in Howard, Edison Middle School, Franklin Middle School, Green Bay East High School, Green Bay West High School, and Washington Middle School. A teacher at Edison responded with a thank-you note:
Thank you so much for your generous donation of Banzai materials to my classroom. I will be using these with my students in the late fall.
This is an ongoing program, and we’ll post more kudos and reports as they come in.
North Shore Shape Up
Eat seasonal. With all the information and food fads out there, it’s hard to know just what we should be putting in our bodies. One easy solution is to eat the foods that are in season. Doing so automatically builds diversity into your diet, providing you with a rotating selection of nutrients, and also could be better for the environment, since in-season foods don’t need to be shipped in from afar. A seasonal ingredient map like this one can help you figure out what foods are in season right now in our part of the world.
