Celebrating life, one year later

By Joe Fretschel, Loan Servicing Manager

Today marks the one-year anniversary of Loan Servicing Specialist Rachel Knitter’s cardiac event. It’s hard to believe it’s been only a year. Who knew we would be all smiles and joking with Rachel, when 12 months ago, we wondered whether we would even see her again? We’re happy to say that miracles do indeed happen.

In recognition of Rachel’s new lease on life, she wanted not only to thank everyone who sent their prayers and support for her well-being and recovery, but especially to express her gratitude to Roger Arnesen and Cheryl Lang, who were there quickly and administered CPR to her in those vital first minutes. In the words of her favorite nurse, Tanya: “Without the quick actions of many people, especially Roger and Cheryl, Rachel would not have survived.”

We have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. It’s situations like this that make you realize that each day is a gift…and to remember that life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

So glad Rachel has recovered and is healthy, and so proud of the quick actions of Cheryl and Roger. Nice going!
