Green Bay West masterpieces: On Jan 9, Green Bay West employees got together at Palette and Pub in Green Bay for a post-holiday celebration. The restaurant provides art supplies and guidance from a professional artist so that guests can produce their own copy of the day’s featured painting. “We had a great time and thought it tied in nicely with the ‘Art of Building Relationships’ theme this year,” Assistant Branch Manager Hali Thompson said.

North Shore’s dynamic duo: “We started a new reward program this fiscal year,” reports Dana Scherff, VP, Information Technology. “The employee who receives the highest overall score from the Help Desk ticket survey wins the ‘Batman’ award. The ‘Robin’ award goes to the employee who has done something exceptional for another team member. We will present the rotating awards to the team on a quarterly basis.” The first employees to win were Product Analyst DJ Bluma and Help Desk Technician Cliserio Gonzalez. DJ won the Batman award after receiving the highest overall average score for the quarter on user surveys about Help Desk tickets. Help Desk Technician Arlen Tsao nominated Cliserio for the Robin award after Cliserio jumped in to help when Arlen was buried in work.

Kudos

Happy customers submitted this note about one of our personal bankers:

We are long-term customers of your fine bank and have always enjoyed wonderful service from your Shorewood locations. A few months ago, we refinanced our home loan, working with Cole Heinrich. Cole handled every aspect of the refi transaction with friendly professionalism and expediency, clearly explaining the process step by step, always keeping us updated.

We’ve also frequently witnessed his patient guidance of NSB tellers and his empathetic handling of customers. He’s clearly a positive, smart, hard-working young man.

Having spent my career in financial services — I’m pleased to say NSB is our client — I recognize exceptional customer service talent. Kudos to Cole, a young man with a very bright future.

North Shore Shape Up

A simple, safe remedy for hot flashes: If you’re experiencing uncomfortable hot flashes, try a technique known as “paced breathing”: Set a timer for 15 minutes, lie on your back if possible, and relax your limbs, torso, and neck. Now begin breathing slowly and deliberately, letting your belly rise as you inhale and fall as you let the air out. Let your breath get slower as the breathing continues. Keep it up until the timer goes off. If that doesn’t help, or you need more relief, consider acupuncture or reducing your caffeine intake, too.
