Corporate held a state-fair-themed fundraiser for Milwaukee’s United Performing Arts Fund on April 8 and raised almost $8,000 for the nonprofit.
Our original goal was to raise $6,500 for UPAF. We ended up bringing in $7,794.25.
The fundraiser included activities like a marketplace where employees could shop for homemade and donated food and gift items; a cream puff eating contest; a potato bar, where diners could prepare baked potatoes with all manner of toppings; and farm animal races — of a sort.
“The people selected to race each got a bandanna with a cow, a sheep, or a pig on it,” says Mailroom Messenger Colleen Moore, who supervised the fundraiser. The racers rolled dice to determine how many spaces to move across a grid marked on the floor with masking tape. Direct Leasing Manager Bob Phillips won the first heat, and Commercial Loan Specialist Missy Hayburn won the second.

North Shore Bank will also participate in the annual UPAF Ride for the Arts on June 5. If you’d like to ride with the team, sign up now at upafride.org.
