The Corporate Community Outreach Committee’s care drive for foster children has raised $520 in cash donations so far, and employees have donated multiple boxes of items, Commercial & Consumer Loan Closing Manager Barb Wisneski reports.
Yesterday’s Casual Day and ice cream social featuring the Granny’s Treats ice cream truck was a big hit, too.
The care drive goes on through Friday, so there’s still time to donate! All donations from the drive will go to Robyn’s Nest at Children’s Service Society, operating as part of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Checks should be made out to Robyn’s Nest. Checks and cash donations can be given to Nancy Hanson at the second-floor reception desk. Donations of the following items can be placed in the designated containers in the Café:
- New backpacks
- Clean, gently used or new clothing, sizes newborn to teen
- New underwear, socks, slippers
- Disposable diapers in all sizes and wipes (unopened)
- Formula (unopened), bottles, onesies, blankets
- Toiletries, such as shampoo, baby shampoo, baby lotion, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste (unopened)
- New toys, games, and art supplies
- New children’s books
