Your BCP Committee: Update your info for spring today!

By Pat Ingelse, Assistant Vice President, PMP

Even though Mother Nature seems a bit fickle this year, spring truly is around the corner. And since it’s the season for heavy storms, it’s a good idea to start thinking about your action plans for work and home in the event of inclement weather. Here are a few helpful reminders:

• As part of Business Continuity Awareness, you have been asked to review during a staff meeting what to do if severe weather occurs. Make sure you know where to go, how to assist customers, and what to do with important documents and cash drawers.

• Now is also the time to make sure your family knows evacuation procedures at home. Do a walk-through with them, so that everyone is clear and on the same page.

• Be sure to have RPX Notification phone number (866-646-7421) set up in your cell phone with a unique ringtone — that way, you will immediately recognize it. Whether it’s a test or a genuine emergency, be sure to answer the call and respond accordingly.

• Finally, make sure your contact information is up to date within UltiPro. Remember: If your cell and home numbers are the same, that number must be entered in both fields. This is uploaded into the automated notification system daily. If it becomes necessary to activate it, it is important that we have your most current contact information.

With luck, we’ll stay emergency-free this season. Here is to a safe and warm spring! •••

North Shore Climbers huff, puff, help fight lung ailments

North Shore Bank employees participated in the American Lung Association’s 10th annual Fight for Air Climb at Milwaukee’s U.S. Bank Center on Saturday, March 10.

The event asks participants to climb 47 floors, or 1,034 steps, to raise money for the ALA. This year, the climb raised $655,308.44, or 93 percent of the $700,000 goal.

The North Shore Climbers this year were: senior customer assistance rep Carrie Feiker, AVP and deposit services manager Natalie Canadeo, and deposit ops team leader Kristin Hoch (pictured at top); Fox Point assistant branch manager–sales Michele Padovano (middle); and senior credit analyst Jeff Wagner and son Jake (above). Nice job, everyone! •••

East team goes out to eat

Employees at our East branch took some time earlier this month to enjoy dinner at the Brat House in Shorewood. “It was nice to relax, visit and spend some time together,” area manager Shannon Weber said.

North Shore Shape Up: Sign up for Weight Watchers!
Go freestyle!
In December, Weight Watchers announced a new program called WW Freestyle. It offers more flexibility and freedom than ever before! Here’s how it works:

Now, over 200 foods have a SmartPoints value of 0, including some surprises like chicken, fish, eggs, corn, beans, and more! The best part? Foods on the zero Points list don’t need to be tracked or measured, so you can spend less time counting and more time enjoying your food and your life!
We’ve reached the middle of our current Weight Watchers At Work session, and there’s another “Deal Days” special for employees who want to continue making healthy changes and renew their membership early, or who want to join as new members.

Deal Days are in effect through next Friday, March 23. We just need your commitment at this point — the actual new session will begin in mid-April. Just in time for spring!

Sign up for the next 12-week session during Deal Days and pay only $132.60 — a 15 percent discount off the standard price of $156. Membership includes free e-tools, and payroll deduction is available.

If you miss the Deal Days window, you will have to pay the regular price of $156.

If you are at a branch, you may sign up through the Corporate At Work group and then attend a Weight Watchers meeting in your area, at your convenience. If you are at Corporate, we invite you to attend one of the free informational meetings tomorrow, on March 16, or next Friday, March 23, at 11 a.m. in the Lower Level Lounge. If you have questions or want to know more, contact Nancy Hanson at nhanson@northshorebank.com. •••
